The building consists of several log frameworks of different height. The Chapel of Sts. Paraskeva and Varlaam of Khutyn is a rectangle prolonged from east to south in layout. Horizontal axis is made up of two rectangular frames of different size in layout. The shorter frame forms the chapel itself, while the wider one makes up the anteroom. The frame of the anteroom is put very close to the frame of the chapel and linked with it with the help of two cross-wall beams. Central axis is formed with hexahedral tent-top belfry put above the anteroom.

The tent of the belfry rests on single logs with circular section. From south, the frame of the anteroom is adjoined by a planked wind-porch covered with a separate gable roof. The frames of the anteroom and the Chapel of Sts. Paraskeva and Varlaam of Khutyn are covered with a separate gable roof. Its northern slope is semi-pediment from the western facade, fitted into the hexahedral of the belfry. On the tent and the ridge of the chapel itself there are onion-shaped domes, which supplement the composition of the chapel. The southern slope of the roof rests against the perpendicular roof of the porch. Along the southern wall of the framework under broad slopes of the roof there is a bench resting on the log endings. The ceiling of the anteroom is lower then the ceiling of the chapel itself. There are three windows in the main room – two of them are on the southern facade and three – on the northern one. The anteroom is lit through two windows on the southern and the western facades. The framework is made up of pine logs fixed according to the traditional method with the logs’ ends protruding from the edges of the walls in the corners (‘v oblo’). The basement of the belfry is fixed so that logs’ ends do not protrude from the walls (‘v lapu’).

The roof above the chapel of Sts. Paraskeva and Varlaam of Khutyn is composed of planks and fixed without use of nails. The planks of the tent and the belfry have peak-shaped endings. The ceiling of the anteroom rests on a beam. The main room is covered with an arch made up of curved pieces. The decoration of the chapel is rather simple. It is represented by the fascia and vertical boards of the roof. Carvings of the fascia boards include a level of blind step-like contour with extra blind circles along the borders. The carved endings of the fascia boards show repeating ovals and rectangular cogs with pierced-through-wood carving in form of circles. Both the vertical board fixed on the joint of the fascia boards and their endings have an identical carved cross, which is included into the circle and has equal-sized endings. The edges of the vertical and fascia boards are made up in the shape of a plane planked rail-post line.

The iconostasis of the chapel has not remained.
