The Chapel of the Sign of the Virgin consists of several frameworks and a top-roof belfry attached over the porch. A framework of the chapel refectory and the praying area forms the horizontal range. The framework is covered with a gable roof with an onion-shaped dome above the praying area the chapel. The bell-tower over the western part of the passage with a tent-top roof, which has the same width as the chapel and refectory, forms the standing axis of the composition. An octagonal framework, which is a base of top-roof belfry with eight pillars, is set on the quadrangle base of the bell-tower.
The pillars of the belfry are double. From the south the passage is adjoined by a porch with one stair flight, a small ground and a gable asymmetrical roof supported with five pillars. The Chapel of the Sign of the Virgin rooms are lit through two of windows made in the northern and southern sides; in addition, there is a window in the western wall of the porch. At present time the northern window of the refectory is closed up with a log insert. The doors are of simple carpentry work. The walls of the chapel are made up according to the traditional method called ‘v oblo’, (i.e. with the logs’ ends protruding from the edges of the walls in the corners). The roof over the framework of the chapel and the refectory is planked and is made without nails. The tent-top roof consists of the rafters. The planks of the roof, the belfry, and a quadrangle base have peak-shaped endings.
The outside pillars of the belfry and the pillars of the passage have carvings on them. The cornice has simple fretwork on the lower edge of boards.
