The granary is located on the territory of the ‘Pudozhsky’ sector of the Kizhi museum within peasant Belyaev’s farmstead and is across the road next to the dwelling house. It is a small rectangular parallelepiped which has a square foundation and is covered with a high gable roof. The repeated logs that make up a pediment form a beam sub-floor. It is a one-cell and one-floor type of granary for crops storage. The walls are made of whole logs, the planked roof is fixed without the use of nails. The entrance is located on the western front of the building, in front of the entrance there is a board platform bedded on logs protruding from the low. The foundation is made of stones placed under the angles of the framework. The log walls are fixed according to the traditional method called ‘v oblo’, (i.e. with the logs ends protruding from the edges of the walls in the corners), the board roof is double-layer, the bins are made of planed boards. It is a household structure typical for the Russian villages of Pudozh District in 19 century which has some architectural peculiarities (small size of building, type of the doorblock, type of the roof).
The decoration is simple; it includes ornamental pegs and ridge with drop-shaped ornaments. The internal walls are hewed at grain-bins height. Bins are located along three walls. The floors are made of broad planks placed on round logs, the roof structures are exposed and not covered by any ceiling. The flanged jambs consist of three posts.
