The granary is located on the lakeside across the museum office block. This is a one-storied household structure divided by the cross wall into two cells inside. The basis of the design of the structure is a parallelepiped-shaped rectangle covered with a symmetrical gable roof.

The eave above the entrance rests on the beam set on the corbels — log butt-ends protruding from cross walls. The overhang is three pillars supported by the corbels. The logs of exterior walls are notched at the corners according to the traditional method with the log ends protruding or extending beyond the corners of each wall (a notch joint called in Russian ‘v oblo’).

The logs of the interior cross wall do not protrude (a dovetail joint called in Russian ‘skovorodnem’). The structure is covered with a nailless gable roof. Each board of the roofing has a gutter carved along every edge, and rests on a U-shaped beam (which functions as a gutter as well). Each of the beams is ornamented with carvings (4 semi-cylinders), found between the eave holders. The ends of the beams are octahedral. The pegged ridge has no carvings. ‘Facial’ boards are plain; the edges have triangular and semi-circular carvings coupled with fretwork. Doorways are constructed of three jambs; doors are made up of broad boards fixed with forged straps and hinges. Hewn boards were used for the floor and ceiling.

The granary is a household structure typical of Zaonezhye. Cross wall divides into two cells inside.
