The basis of the design of the structure is a parallelepiped-shaped rectangle covered with a symmetrical gable roof.
This is a log household structure, divided by the cross wall into two cells with separate doorways.
A three-step platform set along the face wall rests on the projecting lowermost logs. The overhang above the entrance doors is the eave supported by three massive pillars. The framework is made up of pine logs notched at the corners according to the traditional method with the log ends protruding or extending beyond the corners of each wall (a notch joint called in Russian ‘v oblo’). The roofing is composed of boards fixed with nails. Ornamentation is found mostly on carved ‘facial’ boards.
‘Facial’ boards consist of a single board each, ornamented with the double cogs alternating with semi-ovals on the edge. Reach-through holes are found on the surface of the boards.
