The building is composed of two log frameworks of different height. The first one is a two-storied working part covered with a gable roof. In the second one, covered with a shed roof a water-wheel is found.

The framework is assembled of pine logs are notched at the corners according to the traditional method with the log ends protruding or extending beyond the corners of each wall (a notch joint called in Russian ‘v oblo’), the flooring is board. A partition inside separates the rooms so that they have separate entrances. The doorways are made up of two or three door-posts. The upper floor of the mill is rather spacious housing millstones and a grain-drift device.

The water-mill is two-tiered with water-wheels driven from below; it combines two functions of grinding flour, cereals and oat flour as well.

In a smaller annex of the mill there are two big paddle wheels fixed on the massive logs like on the axle-trees. In the working part one axle-tree drives vertical pestles; the second one rotates cog-wheel and thus sets millstones in motion.

The flour comes from the millstones through the mill-race into the chest on the lower floor.
