Sector «Village of Vasilyevo»

‘Village of Vasilyevo’ exposition sector.
On the western end of the island of Kizhi there is a small picturesque village of Vasilyevo, situated not far from a hill called Naryina Gora. This is a museum village, reconstructed on the site of original settlement of late 19 – early 20 centuries. In the village there is a chapel of the Assumption of the Mother of God, which dates back to late 17 – early 18 centuries, as well as several peasants’ houses and household structures, which were moved to the island over the past several years from the nearby villages.
