The granary on water from the village of Mizhostrov is located in the northern part of Yamka on the eastern lakeshore across the house of Nikonova from the village of Ust-Yandoma. Originally it was used for fish storage. Face wall on which is the doorway looks north. The basis of the design of the structure is a parallelepiped-shaped rectangle covered with a symmetrical gable roof. The framework is made up of logs fixed according to the traditional method with the logs’ ends protruding from the edges of the walls in the corners (a notch joint called in Russian ‘v oblo’). The lower tier of logs under the lake surface are fixed according to ‘rezh’ method i.e. with the logs placed one above the other leaving considerable space between; the lower part indents from the socle 70 cm. The structure is set on a loose-rock foundation according to dry-stack wall technique; is under the surface of the lake. The roof is a nailless construction, made of boards.
There are no windows at all; the doorway is constructed of three jamb posts. The granary is typical of Zaonejye household structures in the late 19th – early 20th century.
There are grain tanks along the eastern wall inside.
Facial boards are paired: the upper one features small pyramidions placed like brickwork on the edge, the lower one is noted for alternating double cogs and ovals supplemented with reach-through holes on the surface. The joint is covered with a ‘towel’- element. The carvings on the towel are solar symbols: a rosette and an encircled rhomb. The edge is completed with trapeziform teardrops, and the same rosette.
