The photogallery is the result of open air sessions organized by Russian artists on the Kizhi island.
The open air sessions for artists from Saint-Petersburg, Moskow, Arkhangelsk, Murmansk, Cherepovets and Petrozavodsk were held within the bounds of the project “Aquabiennale”.Yuri Shevchik was born in 1949 in Leningrad; graduate of Leningrad Higher School of Art and Technology named after Vera Mukhina; member of Artists Union of Russia; head of Saint-Petersburg’s Community of water-colour painters (founded in 1887, reactivated in 1997); senior lecturer of Saint-Petersburg University of design and technology.
