The Kizhi museum presents a new exhibition of children's art from the collections of Russia’s Federal Art Center "Russia’s Finno-Ugric Cultural Center”. Since its opening in 2008 in Moscow the exhibition tours through Russia. The exhibition consists of winners’ works of the "Ancestors’ Testament" Contest which was held in many regions of Russia (Republic of Komi, Udmurtia, Mari El, Mordovia, Karelia, Chuvashia; Nenets, Yamalo-Nenets, Khanty-Mansi autonomous district, Perm Region, Murmansk Region), and also from Donetsk region (Ukraine).

The exhibition includes more than a hundred children's and young people’s works in various genres and techniques: painting, drawing, sculpture, articles made of birch bark, burl, straws, embroidery, and dolls in national costumes.

By means of children's art the traditional culture appears in new plastic forms. The exhibition displays the originality of the Finno-Ugric peoples, the beauty and uniqueness of their legends, tales and rituals.

We also bring to your attention the animations created by children.
