For the first time in the City of Petrozavodsk the Kizhi Museum and Finno-Ugric Cultural Center of the Russian Federation present the art exhibition by Pavel Mikushev and Yuri Lisovski, ethno-futurist painters from Komi Republic, and enamel art objects by Svetlana Toth (Budapest).
The exhibition shows us the mythological concept of the three-part Universe, its vertical division into the upper, middle and lower worlds, ancient ideas of the Finno-Ugric peoples, going back to the era of their unity (III-II millennium BC).
The exhibition presents ethno-futurism — the independent artistic trend, which emerged in the 90s.

The registration for the conference ADIT-2012 is going on

The registration for the conference ADIT-2012 “Cultural Heritage and Information Technologies” is going on. 92 participants from 29 cities of Russia and overseas have already registered. Experts from Ukraine, Belorussia, Finland, Iceland, Sweden and Norway expressed their wish to participate at the conference. Registration deadline is April 30, 2012.

Exhibition "The destination is north" is the fourth joint project of artist Victoria Zorina and photographer Irina Larionova. Real photos taken in Karelia, Vologda and Murmansk regions are harmoniously displayed side by side with abstract art objects and wooden sculptures.

The exhibition represents the material world of provincial urban life of the late XIX - early XX century. You will get acquainted with the reconstructed interior of an ancient house; will see fragments of living room, bedroom, child's room, dining room and study interiors.

The exhibition will permit visitors to immerse themselves in a steady calm life of a provincial town, relax from daily vanity and become imbued with the modest beauty of old long-forgotten things.
