The island is situated 3 km to the north of the Village of Sennaya Guba. The island is a small monolith cliff near the extremity of the cape in the Sennogubsky Bay. From the side of the navigation channel the surface of the cliff is weathered (the so called «ram’s brow»), the maximum height is 36,5 m over the sea level. The top of the cliff is grown with cup moss, the shore is covered with grass stands of northern and southern varieties (angular Solomon’s seal, lily of the valley, violets, yellow marsh saxifrage, etc.). Colonies of terns, common gulls, white wagtails have their nesting sites on the island. |
