Coastal grass bogs to the south of the Village of Zharnikovo
They are on the eastern coast of the southern extremity of Zaonezhye peninsular. The lake grass fens are the habitat of some rare plants – yellow iris, marsh retchling, lesser bladderwort and others. The fens contribute to the self-purification of the lake water. The fens are nesting site of various waterfowl. Their number has drastically decreased, but it can be recovered due to the environmental protection activity.
